  Great service and vehicle, but overpriced. The thing that really ticked me off was that I bought the full insurance package and was charged for a missing front license plate. Avis should have checked that their front license plate was attached to vehicle securely before giving me a vehicle but instead I was charged 200 riyals without hesitation. I did not abuse the vehicle in any way.. so I’m upset to be hit with this charge and even more upset the “full insurance” doesn’t cover this. Had this not happened I would have given a full 5 stars, shame on you Avis.

  The staff are super friendly and courteous. I've always had a pleasure dealing with this company. Obviously you have to know what it is you are signing up for, these are my friendly tips: 1) be sure to thoroughly inspect the vehicle on checkout. 2) bookings require that you place a deposit using a credit card and from my experience a debit card will not be accepted. 3) price wise, this company offers medium to low value in comparison to most other rental shops in Doha, which is why I've given them four stars. Always ask for a better price and if possible seek the corporate rate. 4) they are a reputable firm and I have used them extensively around the world. If you have any issues with your vehicle be sure to give them a call. Overall I am very satisfied with Avis and Gulf rental company, it is as it's written on the tin and that's always a bonus in my book.
